They usually did not prefer to put on pants excluding in some parts of California where people have been wearing just anything. Women also wore knee-high boots during winters as well as short skirts, knee-length skirts and even shorts which were extremely short and were known as “hot pants”. Tie-dyed shirts became trendy in the 60s which set fire among the youths of those days, especially the girls. Pencil skirts worn with sweaters, short waist skimming mini skirts and mini dresses created by Mary Quant were also hit and chic fashion trends among women in the 1960s. Minis became well accepted with the introduction of pantyhose and stockings were out of fashion by the mid 60s. Tights first came into being in the 1960s whereas the flat boots worn with extremely short dresses became popular in 1965. Baby doll dresses introduced in 1966 and narrow shouldered dresses were also unique trend setters in the world of fashion for Women’s Clothes in the 60s.
